We Partner with STOP OTYŁOŚCI and Join the Scientific Dialogue on Obesity Strategy in Poland

We are proud to announce a new partnership with STOP OTYŁOŚCI, a leading Polish initiative working to address obesity through education, advocacy, and evidence-based public health strategies.

This collaboration is fully aligned with our Nourish to Thrive: Tackling Obesity Together focus and marks an exciting step forward in our efforts to support healthier communities through nutrition science. As part of this partnership, we have been invited to join STOP OTYŁOŚCI’s “scientific table” - a national dialogue bringing together experts across public health, academia, policy, patient advocacy, and business. This invitation offers us the opportunity to contribute directly to Poland’s evolving strategy to prevent and treat obesity.

About STOP OTYŁOŚCI

STOP OTYŁOŚCI is a multi-sector initiative aimed at reducing obesity rates in Poland by tackling root causes and improving access to effective prevention and care. Their work is grounded in 12 strategic pillars, which include promoting healthy eating in schools, supporting early diagnosis, reducing stigma, and fostering collaboration across sectors. Their interdisciplinary approach reflects the scale and complexity of the obesity crisis, while also offering a hopeful path forward based on evidence and equity.

A Shared Vision

With over half of Polish adults living with overweight or obesity, and concerning trends emerging among children, there is an urgent need for coordinated, science-led action. Our partnership strengthens this effort by combining STOP OTYŁOŚCI’s national leadership with our global experience in clinical nutrition, policy engagement, and professional education. As partners, we will:

  • Contribute to high-level discussions shaping national strategy

  • Share international best practices in obesity prevention and care

  • Support healthcare professionals with up-to-date, evidence-based resources

  • Collaborate on joint initiatives that raise awareness and drive impact

“Obesity is one of the greatest health challenges of our time, but it is also one we can face together. We are proud to partner with STOP OTYŁOŚCI to champion nutrition-based solutions that truly empower people and protect public health.” — Kerstin Plehwe, President of PAN International.

Looking Ahead

Our collaboration with STOP OTYŁOŚCI reflects a growing international momentum to address obesity through systems thinking, scientific integrity, and patient-centred care. We look forward to sharing more about this partnership in the months ahead, including upcoming events, resources, and opportunities for engagement.

Together, we are building bridges between science, practice, and policy to help shape a healthier future for all!
