We Mark Earth Day 2025 with New Climate Partnership and Green Triangle Fund Launch

Emphasising the strong connect between health, nutrition, and climate, we aim to raise awareness and improve collaborations across all relevant sectors to increase positive impacts for human health.

As part of our ongoing commitment to advance planetary health for human health, we are proud to announce our new membership in the Food and Climate Alliance—a global coalition of organisations working at the intersection of food systems, climate resilience, and public health.

With various Green Triangle activities and events aimed at addressing the often overlooked connection between health, nutrition, and climate, we will support public awareness for the important interconnections for human health. Together with the Food and Climate Alliance, we aim to amplify collaborations with like-minded organisations and contribute to shared momentum across the sector.

“Joining the Food and Climate Alliance reflects our commitment to both increasing collaborations across all relevant sectors and also to a holistic approach to raise awareness for the many interconnected aspects of planetary health,” says PAN International President Kerstin Plehwe. “It is a natural extension of our mission to advocate for healthy and sustainable nutrition as a driver of human health.”

Dawn Moncrief, President of A Well-Fed World and Co-Chair of the Food and Climate Alliance, shared her enthusiasm: “PAN International is a perfect fit and great asset to FCA’s mission to maximise personal and planetary health for current and future generations.”

As Earth Day highlights the urgency of climate action, the membership in the Food and Climate Alliance marks the beginning of a new chapter for our work paving the way for upcoming events, projects and partnerships that support a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
