Clara Pi, MSc, RD, FFCSI
Senior advisor to PAN International Board & Adjunct Associate Professor, HKU Space
With over 40 years of experience in healthcare nutrition and food service management, Clara is a pioneer in advancing sustainable, evidence-based approaches to institutional food systems. She has served as a Board Director for the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) for both the Worldwide and Asia Pacific divisions.
Clara was among the first to introduce cook-chill technology and computerized foodservice management systems in Canada and China, revolutionising large-scale meal production and delivery. She also published the first bilingual cookbook featuring carbon footprint data and led impactful sustainability initiatives, including launching Meatless Monday programmes in Hong Kong hospitals and a tree-planting campaign in Inner Mongolia.
In her current roles as Senior Advisor to PAN International and Adjunct Associate Professor at HKU SPACE, Clara continues to drive innovation in plant-forward nutrition education. She co-developed the Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate Programme for PAN International and HKU SPACE, equipping professionals with practical tools to promote health and sustainability through food.
