PAN International calls for EU plant-based action plan by 2026

PAN International has joined forces with more than 130 other organizations to demand a healthier, more sustainable Europe by urging the European Commission to develop an EU action plan for plant-based foods by 2026.

This plan is crucial in shaping the future of agriculture and the role it plays in promoting:

  • Essential nutritional improvements to public health

  • A more competitive and resilient European food system

  • New opportunities for European farmers, particularly small-scale and young farmers

  • Boosted biodiversity and soil health

  • More sustainable food systems that benefit people, animals, and the planet

A healthier, more sustainable Europe starts with the food on our plates. Read the full letter here: https://www.beuc.eu/tools/eu-action-plan-plant-based-foods
